This pertains to my 67 B/B coupe, it has power brakes, the booster assy. is black doesn't look like a home made paint job but original. The fluid reservoir cover plate is cad. Is this correct? I have seen mostly Cad plated boosters. I would imagine this may pertain to many other mid-year cars also with power brakes.Thanks.grr#33570

Re: Pwr . Brake Booster colors, cad or black or bo
grr-----
My recollection is that mid-year Delco-Moraine power brake boosters are zinc/cad plated and most or all have a irridite ("gold") "bright dip". 68-76 with Bendix boosters are painted gloss black. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Booster, yes, lids - another question
We are also looking for inputs regarding the state of the master cylinder lids; plated or painted. Both are seen almost equally on the judging fields, and I can't recall what the '66 and '67 judging guide states. Anyway, each car owner will tell you their cover is absolutely correct, whichever finish they have. Come on guys, tell us what you think, and what is on your car.- Top
