From an original unrestored 42 amp alternator 1100696 dated 5G7 (July 7th 1965). One of the +ve diodes is shown.
I can see the red ink "380" with date code 5F16 and (thanks to the '65 TIM&JG) the "466" at the bottom.
This is the cleanest of the 6 diodes [3 positive, 3 negative (in black ink)] . I can't make out the script on any of the others.
Is there a way to clean the grime and oxidation to find out what the dates are ? I realize I may destroy the ink in the process, but so be it.
