There is no 'correct' location as is the case with many of the 'luggage tag' labels on these cars. They were applied by hand and postion varied with assy worker, date, shift, Etc. Most often, we see expansion tank inspection decals either on the embossed end of the tank facing the engine or on the LH side of the tank near the hold-down clamps. The only important concern is that judges be able to see/confirm the sticker...
