Gentlemen,
I've developed a few questions where I need all your expert opinions. First, I'm in the process of restoring an early 66 roadster #4067, 327 hp, powerglide. My first question concerns the automatic kick down linkage (i.e., the rod that attaches to the carb) is there a spring that connects to this rod to hold it in place (to the rear) or not? If so, what is it attached to at the firewall end? A picture would be great! I've checked the AIM and have been told that for this year the spring was absent, but was added in 67. I also been told that a spring was on this model year. No, I'm not refering to the accelerator return spring in case there is confulsion
Next question concerns the emergency brake cable clips on the torque arms and below the frame (I've been through the arcives). Are the retaining clips the "U" shaped variety or the mickey mouse type for a 4067 numbered car?
And last, are the fender and nose emblems orange-red or are they the darker red for an early 66?
Thanks!
Kenn
