Trying to get the configuration of the engine compartment T-Straps along the firewall correct. The Judging guide seems unclear to me. Looking for clarification or confirmation of correct strap layout/configuration.
The '67 Judging Guide, page 118, says: "6 T shaped loops are located on the firewall, 2 secure the washer hose to the hood release cable (judge in washer system section), and 2 per side simply tie the harnesses together and to the hood release cable."
The '67 JG page 122 (Washer system hoses/clips) says: "This hose [center inlet larger hose] is routed along the firewall where it is secured to the wiring harness with 2 T-shaped plastic loops and passes through a rubberized u-shaped clip..."
First, I want to confirm, from historical knowledge/original cars, that there should be 6 T-straps along the firewall.
Next, I want to clarify/confirm what should be held in (bound by) each of the clips going from one side to the other.
The JG seems to contradict itself --- first it says "2 [T-shaped loops] secure the washer hose (small or big washer hose??) to the hood release cable", but then it says "large center inlet washer hose is secured to the wiring harness with 2 T-shaped plastic loops..."
On the driver side, it sounds like there should be 2 T-straps that hold the larger washer hose and harness together,...and hood release cable?
On the passenger side, sounds like there should be 2 more straps, but it is unclear what all should be held by those 2 (wire harness and hood release?).
In the center area, behind the distributor, there would be 2 more, but not clear what all those should hold.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
