    Trim Plate on '66 Coupe

On a '66 Red (947) Coupe I am interested in, a "437" appears on the Trim Plate adjacent "Style 66" then below the forementioned is "Trim Std". It is my understanding that Std Trim was Black Vinyl, which the car has. But what then what is the "437" code mean? I looked up in "The Complete Corvette Resortation & Technical Guide - Vol. 2 for 1963-1967" under the Supplimental Data section and no 437 appeared under the Trim Codes. However in the 1965 Supplimental Data Section, the 437 designed Black and White vinyl. Can any one help me out. I want to make sure the current Black Vinyl interior in the car is correct. Thank You.

The number 437 on the line designated as STYLE indicates the type of body. 437 for coupe and 467 for convertible.

      Howdy Bob,

The "Style 437" refers to the body style, in this case coupe. If you were looking at a convertible, it would read "Style 467". Bill
