Hi all,
I am (finally!) getting ready to install the carb on my 67 327/350. I have a gasket I got from Long Island Corvette and a kit that I got from the rebuilder (Jerry Luck). The "kit" from Mr. Luck has a thin metal plate, a green gasket with two holes and an oblong hole, and a black gasket with 4 holes and long slot (I assume for a heat riser?) The one from long island is green and has 4 holes that are all the same size-- looks very generic, and is thicker than the other gaskets.
I am thinking that I should just use the green gasket supplied by the rebuilder (two circular holes and an oval hole) but I wanted to check and make sure.
Is it recommended to use any sealer or just put the gasket on a clean surface?
Thanks as always!
Brandon
