C1 Wiper

Hello from Berlin
I am just go to reinstall my wiper system. I put all parts back in place but the left wires are very hard tension and the right have the right tension.
What is my problem ? The wire routing ?

Bernt, in the NCRS CD-ROM for 56-7 there are 2 articles on it about reinstalling the wiper tranmissions. Best information on how to do it there is.

I only have the 61-62 CD but I am not sure the the articles are the same

The NCRS articles would be very good. See if you can find them.

Do you have the ST-12? There should be a section in there that explains them. You're supposed to be able to slacken the wires and release the tension by pushing on the wiper post where it exits the cowl. This almost never work, though, on old ones. The NCRS article probably tells you how to fix that.

Also see the ST-12 for how the wires go in. One of them criss crosses. Only one side. I forget which side. The ST-12 will have all this.

The Corvette Restorer CD ( 61-62 vers. 32.4 ) has three articles in the windshield wiper/ washer section on installing the cables. P.S. the right side
( pass. side ) cables criss-cross each other.
