    Follow-up shim question

How do you gain access to the spacers and shims for the number 2 and 3 body mounts? I loosened all of my body mount bolts to prepare to reshim my radiator support. Once I've reshimmed the radiator support I'd like to check the spacing between the body and frame to make sure I didn't change anything that requires new body shims.

The problem is that I can't gain access/signt of the spacers/shims for mounts 2 and 3. I can see 1 and 4 fine, and can access the bolts for 2 and 3 to loosen them, but I can't see whether the body is resting on the spacers or whether there are any shims.

You won't be able to see shims/spacers for #2 and #3 body mounts. They are taped on top of the frame...once the body is lowered onto the frame, the sill channels of the body frame cover them. The best indication that shim adjustment is needed will be if body gaps go out of spec.
