Is the RF shield in the distributor of an early LT-1?

Shouldn't be...the change occurred in general lock-step to the introduction of the reduced size distributor shield vs. the 'full box' shield...

I'm just trying to confirm that since LT-1 transisterized ignition did not have points, it also does not need the RF shield.

I doubt the RFI shield will fit in the Ti distributor. The magnetic coil takes up a lot of real-estate inside the distributor cap.

Absolutely. There is no way that the inner RF shield was ever used with TI. It would have required a totally different configuration shield and such a shield "was never invented".
