'66 L79 Harmonic Balancer Painting: Advice needed

I've looked thru the archives to try and figure out how much of the harmonic balancer is painted. Based on what I've read, I'm confused. Does the front center 4" or 5" not get any paint? So, on my L79, the center bolt and washer would not have any evidence of engine orange? Nor would the the 4" or 5" area surrounding the center? And the back side gets no or scant paint, except maybe from some overspay when the sides were sprayed? So, the only part that gets more or less complete converage are the sides and outer front?

Does anyone have some good photos, from all sides, showing typical paint coverage on a mid-year balancer?

The center bolt, loskwasher, and large flat washer were installed at St. Louis. So, they certainly didn't have any engine paint on them.

As far as the balancer goes, I do think that some portion of the center was somehow masked off or covered. I'm not certain of that, though. In any event, it's pretty much academic since the pulley covers the area that either was or was not painted.

The area the pulley contacts was not painted. They didn't want the paint to cause a misfit of the pulley. Same with threaded holes.
