    1958 charcoal paint

    Does anyone have a difinitve mix for the 1958 exterior charcoal paint. Several mixes don't seem to match the original. Original paint chip from GM looks incorrect also. Any thoughts....

      Peter: In my opinion and the opinion of some judges I have spoke to, DO NOT match to a paint chip.. A paint chip will not show any metallic. Do you have any part of the body with some leftover factory paint/overspray? If not, call autocolorlibrary.com (hope I spelled it correctly)and have them send out a spray card for you. Good Luck DG

          Call Young Paint Sales on 19th Ave in Phoenix - they are in like their 58th year in business and they have the old formulas on file....
