C2 chassis and engine detailing questions

I have a 67 L79 engine. Are there quidelines for the placement of the valve cover decals?

Tripoli's Chassis Restoration Guide show a one inch chassis stencil for a 69 and a 7/8 in. stencil for a 57. The example for the 65 seems to be a little bit larger than the 3/4 in. stencil I received from Quanta. Is the Quanta stencil acceptable? The original gas tank stencil on my 67 was 1 in. high. The stencil I received from LIC was 3/4 in. high. I purchased a set of correct stencils at a hardware store. Just wondering if I have to do it again.

Is the positraction differential tag supposed to loosely fit around the plug?

I had a local shop make both stencils for me to exact sizes, using one of the original stencil cutting machines, for my April 67 coupe.

Gas tank stencil is 13/16 in high:

Frame stencil is 13/16 in high ( placed upside down and paint rolled on)

Thank you for the reply. One of the few markings that survived on my chassis was the gas tank stencil. I obtained a set of stencil letters and numbers from a hardware store. The one inch height and the font matched, but I had to narrow the space between the letters to match the originals.
