    Radiator Shroud 1972 question

Did all 72's have the same radiator shroud? I have seen the metal barrel looking shroud that looks like stamped steel, I also see the resin plastic that is used on all 73's. Thanks for any input.

    Re: Radiator Shroud 1972 question

    Charles------

The circular steel shroud was used for all 1972's with base engine, 4 speed transmission, and WITHOUT C-60. ALL other applications used a plastic shroud. Small blocks used GM #3956109 and big blocks used GM #3956119.

1972 LT-1 with ZR-1 used no shroud. However, if any did have shrouds installed, it would have been the same circular steel shroud used on base engine cars as described above. I believe that some earlier ZR-1's used that shroud.
