Does the 61 and 62 Spare Tire Cover have a notch in it?
I see one for sale and it has the finger pull hole, but also a notch, which seems like it's the size of the notch in my 59 cover. My Noland book shows no notch.
Rich, I just looked at my '61 and it has the finger hole to the rear, and a notch to the front. The notch will match the "flat" section in the fiberglass.
My 61 only has the 1" finger hole and a flat edge that fits near the bulk head insert. The paper labels apear not to be same as the 61, or would this be for a non-positraction car with only the jacking information.
Ray, Yes that's the one I was looking at. Lister has it as 61 62, but it has the extra cutout notch like for the earlier cars with the latch mechanism there.
Could this one on ebay be an "early" 61 cover? Maybe left over stock of covers from the 1960 model year, and they added the finger hole?
