    c3 wiper blades

1972 How do I know if they are are original? Besides dry rot, TRICO black with 1 bend in the middle 16" long. Part of the rubber is comming off 1 side best way to reapply? Thanks
Also I would like to share my cleaning of rubber parts with you all. My friend was in the army and they cleaned the gas maskes with GO JO hand cleaner, It kept the rubber soft and clean. Now put some on a soft cloth and try it yourself it takes 2 rags wax on wax off. Try it on your vinyl seats. Any posts on the GO JO good or bad?

Denny, post pictures...especially close ups of the wiper inserts. I'm sure someone here can certify that they're original.

GoJo is essentially a liquid detergent in an mildly abrasive base...there has to be better specialized products for your vinyl seats than something meant to clean greasy hands. I would clean the vinyl with a mild soapy water solution, wipe dry, and after it's completely dry, treat with 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Denny - If you're asking about the holders see Greg Linton's DB posting and associated thread starting Thursday, May 24, 2007 for some pictures of 69 TRICO holders which should be the same as 72 TRICO holders.

If you are talking about the rubber refills as Chuck indicated some pictures would help, but I don't know if it's possible to save dry rotted rubber refills and hope that they might function as intended. Sounds like time to replace the refills and save the old one if they are real originals as examples for "show and tell."

GoJo used to contain lanolin, which would be good for the vinyl.

There should be black plastic clips holding the washer tube to the arms, but black tape and an S shaped wire clip do not sound familiar.

                  Good call
As we all know those wipers do what ever when ever for no reason.Looks like the door closed on the blades at one or two times. It looks like the misters lost connection and someone did a nice fix.I have a few weeks yet to undo.Maybe tonight. Thanks Have you tried the GO JO yet? {no grit} Denny72
