Throwout bearing; same as for L79?

Joe,

Is the GM 15680264 / BCA 614018 / Delco CT24AG throwout bearing also the correct one for my '66 L79? If so, can you recommend a place in the San Jose, CA where I could buy one in person at a discounted price (like $19.82) compared to GM list, which is what Courtesy Chevrolet always "offers" me?

The bearing is the same for your application. I don't know of any local dealer that will sell at that price. However, I'm sure that if you seek out a local Delco parts source, you can do a lot better than GM list. For "deep discount" sources, when buying a single, low dollar item like this, the extra savings is going to be off-set by shipping charges (and, I'm not talking about GMPartsDirect pricing system; I'm talking about just normal shipping charges). So, just finding a local source that sells Delco will likely be your best bet.

Or, see if you can find a better price for a BCA 614018 at a local parts store. You might even find this bearing at places like Pep Boys or Kragen.
