1967 vert 327/300 hp with AC, power steering and power brakes. I purchased a reconditioned correctly dated stater and solenoid for my car. The numbers on the starter are easy to read but the numbers on the solenoid are faints. Just appears to be a part number that begins with 4-- and ends with 314 (maybe 344). Does anyone know the correct number? Besides the Bakelite end cap stamping Delco Remy Made in USA is anything else usually stamped on the solenoid? Thanks.

Re: 1967 Starter Solenoid Part Number

The solenoid number is probably GM #1114344. This is one of the solenoids used on 1967 starter motors. It was not available in SERVICE, so this is likely an original solenoid.
The other solenoid that was used in both PRODUCTION and SERVICE for 1967 was GM #1114356.
The solenoid part number is stamped on the barrel of the part, although I've seen some that have no number stamped, at all. The cap has only the Delco Remy logo and the "R" and "S" identifying the small terminals. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
