    James,

    Regarding the rotational noise...check the integrity of the two brackets welded to the frame that the differential crossmember bolts to. Sometimes the weld can crack at the point and the differential will flex more than it should and the u-joint will contact the body when you decelerate. I had this happen on one of my cars. The bracket was re-welded and the problem solved.
