MY EXHAUST PIPES CONTINUALLY HAVE SURFACE RUST. IS IT A BIG NO NO TO GO STAINLESS STEEL FROM A JUDGING STANDPOINT?? IS THERE A WAY TO CLEAN THE CURRENT PIPES SO THE RUST DOES NOT CONTINUE TO BUILD UP SO QUICKLY??

It's not a 'no no' to use SS exhaust components, but when you read the NCRS Judging Reference Manual, Standard Deductions, section you'll see there are substantial scoring deductions mandated for SS components with the point loss varying with the number of SS components used...- Top

I can't seem to locate my copy of the JRM, but I thought that in the list of mandatory deductions there was a 50% originality deduction for stainless steel or for aluminized. Am I remembering this incorrectly?- Top
