    Transmission Oil Cooler

Has anyone ever installed a transmission oil cooler on a 62 w/powerglide, if so where did you mount it and what type was it, the 62 automatic was the 1st year for the aluminum powerglide and had no cooler from the factory.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Michael, hope this is of some help, I installed an aftermarket cooler on my'55 (cast iron trans)when I first got it years ago. I mounted it in front of the radiator on the X brace on the radiator frame. I ran steel lines from the trans to the cooler and short sections of tubing to connect the cooler. Don't remember brand, it was about 6" x 12" x 3/4" in sized. Mounted with wire ties. I painted it flat black, very light coat, so it wound not stand out in the grill oval.

Michael, pick up a Jegs or Summitt catalog and each one has a wide variety if trans coolers.
