    C2 gauge lens replacement

    Corvette fans,
How do you replace a lens on the cluster of gauges? Do you have to go from behind and therefore pull the whole cluster or is it possible to somehow go from the front by removing a bezel (wishfull thinking)?

    Thanks,
    Brian

Your right...wishful thinking. You need to remove the cluster.

Many years ago when I bought my first 63 coupe I made a major mistake on the cluster. "Rebuilt" it myself and put all the lens in backwards. Then when I sold the red/saddle car (was saddle/saddle) a member of the Pittsburgh chapter bought it and said one night on the phone. Said do you know you put all the lens in backwards. Looked kinda neat though. Wonder what the deduct would be for that screw up??? John
