    89 Rear end.

    How big a job is it to replace the U joints in an 89 automatic transmission car? Can any local garage perform the work or should I take it to a dealer? Thanks for the help.

      I installed new u-joints in my 85's half shafts. The originals were removed from the half shaft with very little pressure, have never removed easier u-joints than these. I used the 85's service manual and had no problems. Have not serviced the main drive shaft u-joints yet.
