It is my understanding that Noland Adams was honored and roasted at last week's Straight Axle Corvette Club National Convention. Can anyone who was in attendance give us a report? Thanks!

Re: Noland Adams Tribute and Roast
The Noland Adams Roast was put on by The Great Lakes Chapter of SACC on Wednesday June 13 at the Baker Hotel in St. Charles, Il. The Roast was preceded by the SACC National Convention and Banquet, both of which were sold out.
The Roast Master of Ceremonies was John Hinckley who did an excellent job. The speakers included, Jerry Kohn founder of Corvette Central, Bill Locke of The Bloomington Gold Special Collection, Jim Gessner of Vettefinder fame, Mike Yager founder of Mid America Motorworks, Joe Calcagno owner of R.A.R.E. Corvettes, David Burroughs the CEO of Bloomington Gold and Larry Richter a Founding member of SACC.
And of course Noland had a few words to say.
Many notables from the Corvette world were in attendance including Dick Guldstrand of racing fame, Andy Bolig from Corvette Enthusiast Magazine and others.
The Roast concluded with the awarding of the first annual "Noland Adams Award" to who else but Noland Adams. The award will be given to a deserving person annually by SACC.
We hope to have a video of the Roast available in the near future. It was an honor to work with all the people involved in the Roast.
