    Clem, Don't start. Ask Tony Faulk about those bolts. Ask Barry for sure. He showed me some. I am surprised though at the old timers that don't remember that bolt. What confuses them is the lower HP engine had the same bolt-but not drilled. Go figure. Flint must have gotten a deal on them. Who knows. Although it is a grade eight bolt you can get it drilled you know. Chevy sold them is boxes of 5. Said LE on them though. Lake Erie.
    Question: Did Dr. Blatchley own two 63 race cars??? Did he roll one and destroy it and went out and bought another??? Can't remember. Don't think so but that is a rumor that I got just tonight. I think Mrs. Blatchly who spread the rumor was confused. I think it was one of the two 66's that got trashed. I will get the TR bolt documented for all of us. Later though. John

      i know doc wrecked one but i do not remember which one. could those drilled bolts be only over the counter sales,different than production. i would think that bolt is like dip sticks there would be very little reason to change the original on a engine rebuild because it would not wear out

          Mike, I was told that they were very hard to come by but I thought that I was being taken advantage of. I paid $100 for a pair last year from a friend of mine.
