My balancer pulley is definetly attched with mounting bolts. I am not concerned about my harmonic balancer being pressed onto the shaft. All I care about is what head type bolts are used to mount the pulley. That'it nothing else. Maybe I should take a picture.

Here is a picture of the crankshaft pulley on my 300 HP car showing two of the three attaching bolts and headmarks. Going from memory, I believe the washers are internal star washers.. The crank in this engine is cast # 4577 and has been drilled for 1/2" fine thread bolt, I only used it to install the balancer to the crank but I may reinstall the bolt and thick washer for safety although I remember the balancer went on with a tight fit.
