1963 T-10 transmission

I have a T-10 D main case and cast into the passenger side is K 4 but no year date(62). The assembly date on the stamp pad is WK2223 (October 22 1962 third shift). I have never seen a case without the year cast into it and am wondering if this is common on T-10's. Thanks as always for you input. Tim

Not common, but not unheard of either.

Possible on no year.

I believe my T10 is original to the car, but here is the rub. I have a documented build date for the car, April 20th of 63. The trans has the VIN derivative that matches but the date stamp is (WD231 1). I get a build date of April 2, 63 first shift. I just can't determine what that extra 1 is? Over aggressive stamper?

I have an early '63 and the main case is stamped WK222 ( no shift designation )no casting date and T-10-7D. However, the tailshaft and sidecover have dates cast in. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how long Borg Warner made T-10 D cases. I know it's just for the 63 year but could my assembly date of WK2223 actually be 1972 because there is no year cast into the main case?

I have a T10-7D rear housing with a cast date of November 1968.
