    1958 Covette Wheel Color

I will be painting my wheels soon and would like to know what the correct colors
they should be? Gloss black or semi-gloss on the drum side and silver on the hubcap side? What type of paint is recommended? Can I use the same silver as used on 67' and up rally wheels(argent silver)? The wheels are the original wheels that came with the car from the factory and the date codes are correct for this vin number.
    Thank You,
    Tim H.

    Tim,

I think these were dip primed at the factory using flat black lacquer primer and then painted on the face with gloss enamel. I would go with the same silver code that was used in 58 for body color.

The 67 argent silver color has a green tint.
