Part Numbers Needed:1961 Tie Rod Tubes

Both of my tie rod tubes are bent. Before I schedule an alignment I want to replace them. Can someone (Joe?) please provide the current part numbers? Are they still available from GM?

This part is officially called a sleeve, the part # is 3691181, I don't know if it is still available from GM.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that same number based on a reprint of an original parts book and came up empty with GM Parts Direct. Perhaps it was superceeded. I believe that part was used on many old Chevys in the day so I am hopeful that a good quality replacement is still available.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

GM #3691181 is what it was. It was discontinued without supercession in December, 1974. So, it's been over 32 years since you could buy it from GM.
