    72 LT-1 w/ac Carburetor

    The GM carburetor number on my 72 LT-1 with a/c is 3999263. Source number= 6239-1. Code= GA. Metering block stamps= 7102, 7101. Date 1B2= 1971, Dec. 2 week.

It seems to match the 72 judging guide with the exception of the code letters GA and it does not have a letter A following the 1 in the source number. The judging guide I have (72 3rd edition)does not list code letters for the the 72 LT-1 and it does not identify with a/c or without a/c.

Is this the correct carb for my 1972 LT-1 w/ac?

There is a carb on ebay that's listing a 6238 carb with 7098 and 3828 metering block stamps as being correct for a 72 LT-1 w/ac car. The 3rd edition judging guide does not list that carb. Does the 4th edition?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Bryan-----

You have the correct carburetor list number, GM part number and suffix code number for your application. However, I show different numbers for the primary and secondary metering bodies from the ones you mention.

      Joe,
The judging manual also list a 6239A with metering blocks 6828 and 4519 as being correct for a 72 LT-1.
      Thanks,
      Bryan

the -1 carb uses 7102A and 7101A and the non -1 carb uses 4519 and 6828 according to the holley manual

There is no different carburetor listed for the 1972 LT1 with AC. The two list numbers (which ARE shown in the 4th edition of the 1970-72 TIM&JG, along with the metering block numbers) are an early and late situation, although that is not specified in the manual. AC or not AC has nothing to do with them.
