I have been working on restoring a 1959 vette and have made it to the point of restoring the leaf springs and placing them back on the car. When I took them off I didn't notice that the spring looked a little different. On futher inspection I notice they were not the right part number. They should be 3751438 and should be a 4 leaf spring. What I have is a 5 leaf spring part number 3748143 dtd 337E8. Can anyone tell me if this is the RPO 684 five grooved leaf spring or is this from another GM car. They are in very nice condition, but I don't want to put them back on if they are not correct.
It sounds like you have a real set of RPO 684 springs. And in all seriousness, if you are planning to part with them, please shoot me an email. I am an interested buyer. I own a '59 with the 684 option, but I don't have the correct springs on it.
