    Rear spring hight

    Hi All,
I installed a new spring 2 winters ago. The rear hight when judged last year at the Boston reaginal went fine. But I am unhappy with the ride hight. The production manual for 72 says 26.80" is what my car hight should be. It is right now with 1/2 tank of gas 28 1/8". Should I take it out and get a 1" taken out or is there a nother way? On sheet UPS4-A6 of the manual says Under B "Must be torqued with spring compressed to design hight." How do you get desigh hight? Is ther some thing I am missing?
I am probubly getting to picky but I just want it right.
    Thank You,
    Rob

    Re: Rear spring hight

    Rob,
You can adjust the ride height with the bolts that attach the spring ends to the trailing arms. If I remember correctly you tighten the nuts to raise the car, loosen, to lower the car. Sounds backwards, but I think I have it right. Search the archives there are probably much better detailed answers there.
    Good luck,
    George
