C3 Radial Spare Tire

I think I've asked this question previously, but, if I have, I've forgotten the answer. Does anyone know what size radial tire will fit comfortably in a 68-82 tire tub?

Joe,

I have a set of B.F. Goodrich T/A's that are P215 70-R15. The spare fits perfectly in the tire carrier.

I also have BF goodrich radial T/A 's but my size is 225/70-15 and it fits quite comfortably in the spare tire tub

Thanks very much. I thought that I had heard that the 225-70-15 wouldn't fit. It's good to know that it will, although I'm not sure if I'll go with a 215 or 225 for the spare. I'll never be using it as a long-term road tire, just a short term spare, if and when needed. I've had the original Goodyear Speedway Wide Tread as a spare since day-one and until I took the car off the road several years ago for "The Project". I've removed that now and I need to get another suitable spare before I put the car back on the road. My road tires are 245-60-15 and they won't fit in the tub.
