    1970 Q-Jet Question

Does anyone know when the change was made in 1970 between the 1st design 7040202 Q-Jet & the 2nd design 7040212 Q-Jet.

My pocket guide just lists both carbs but it does not tell of the approximate change date. I don't have a '70 JG.

    The car is a '70 with a base 350 / 300hp & auto trans.

    Thanks,

    Anthony

To my knowledge there has not been a definite changeover date established

Anthony my original owner 1970 350/300 Corvette's Quadrajet is a 7040202 with FO DH stamping below the numbers. It is made by Carter. My 70 is a July car.

We have one listed in the judging manual Clem. I cannot verify that I have or have not ever seen one. Some of these numbers are from data furnished by Chevrolet. The number has been in the manual since late 1984
