Re: Stupid question
Geoffrey
No such thing as a stupid question. A car, like anything else is worth what someone will pay for it. In this case at least two people with more money than they know what to do with. If you've ever been in an auction you know at some point it becomes a matter of male pride and they bid way more than common sense says they should. I'm like you though, I see no used Corvette worth that kind of money unless it comes with a beautiful tall blonde who takes care of you and the car and is a mute.

Re: Stupid question
I think Geoffrey posed a rhetorical question.
But it is a good question. I don't understand the insane prices paid for some cars now days.
Of course, I'm always behind the curve on prices. I remember when you could buy them for $2000.

Re: Stupid question
The people buying these cars are most likely in the Hedge Fund business, I saw a report on how these guys are making more money then any fund in history. We're talking a Mil just to get in. These kinds of people can't spend it fast enough and have to own the best.
