    C-2 differential date code

I have an extra rear end that came with my 64 which was built in Jan./64. The stamping is CE12 19 63 which I take to be 4:11 made on Dec. 19,1963. Is this correct?

4.11 posi it is, but what gears are really on the inside? Pull the cover and take a look.

Old Bubba trick is simply to turn yoke at drive shaft and count. I got a little more than 4 which is probably 4:11 as there doesn't seem to be a 4:13 or 4:14 in the General's usual offerings. It's really the numbers that present some puzzle.

Your reading of the date sounds correct to me, unless I'm missing something here.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have just moved from the land of tri-powers(54's did have three) back to FI cars and I have lost touch with what I thought I used to know. Maybe it comes with those many birthdays.

I thought that I knew all of the other psychologists in this small state, but that name is unfamiliar.
