Interior rear quarter trim.? 65 convertible

65 convertible. I bought an interior screw kit. There are 2 lag screws along with the upper 4 screws with respective trim washers. Enough for both sides. Does the lower screw with the hex head or philips head on it screw through the carpet or is the lower screw hidden underneath the carpet? The JG describes a philips head screw for the lower. Are these hex head screws for a later year? Thanks DG

Under the carpet. There is a small trim screw that catches the carpet to hold it up.
