Go back to June 14 and look at the thread titled "Coupe pop out rear window and T-Top storage". There are even pictures. I suspect at least some of your questions will be answered.
Located in the rear storage area. It extends across the rear compartment just beneath the coupe rear deck. It's hinged at the rear corners and the front edge latched just below the center of the rear window. If you examine those areas, you may find some hardware, portions of hardware, or screw holes remaining.
can someone explane to me how does it work ?
You unlatch the tray and lower the front edge; remove the rear window, place it on the tray, and latch the retainers; raise the front of the tray and latch the tray in place.
did all 69 vette got one ?
All coupes with the removeable rear window had the storage tray.
did only one model exist in 69 ?
Model??!! Storage tray? Body Style? There were two body styles in 69...T-top coupe and convertible. Only the coupe has the removeable rear window, and therefore only the coupe has the tray to store the removeable window.
Yes, only one version for 1969. It was made of pressboard with a rivited chrome trim strip on the front. See the previously noted thread for pictures. They are from my Otc 3rd 1968 build date.
Shorter plastic versions were used in later years.
Frank,
I started the former post concerning the rear window tray. If you located the post you can see I was referred to John on Long Island who can be reached via email at bb701@optonline.net. He reflocks the boards and knows the differences from year to year, if any. He does an awesome job for a reasonable fee. I have seen junk on E-pay go for nearly as mush as he charged me for a beautifully restored board.
Email me and I can email you the pictures if you did not find the former post.
