There were 2 speakers located in the kick panels of radio-equipped 1969 Corvettes. These speakers were 4 X 10. There were NO other speakers, regardless of radio option.
Yes, and some confusion in this regard was created by the fact that GM later superceded for SERVICE the 68-69 upper dash pads with the 1970 and later pads. So, if someone once-upon-a-time ordered and installed a SERVICE dash pad, they likely would have the 1970 and later style. Not only did these dash pads have the speaker provisions, they also had the "stitching" along the front edge of the dash pad. The "stitching" is not correct for any 68-69 Corvette.
