What Oil Pan do I need?

I building up my 327 350hp w/Factory AC & PS. I thought I had the right oil pan but turns out I don't(had a 5 qt right hand dipstick) so I'm at work stoppage untill I order more parts. The oil pan that came off the car was a 4 quart, side drain replacement with many years of dents.

From what I can see on the internet my choices are GM 360450 or Long Island Corvette has a 4 quart correct repo for about 3 times the cost of the replacement pan.

What do I really need and do I need to install a windage tray? Right now I don't have one just a stock oil screen pick up that is called out for the 327 350hp.

I have been keeping within the spirt of NCRS during this chassis buildup but sometimes cost does play into all this.

To keep all this in perspective, I'm going to buy the correct oil pan for a 1965 327, 350hp w/ factory AC and PS. What do I need?

As you probably know, GM replacement parts sometimes do not look like the original. This is the case with oil pans. I believe the Long Island part number 38-26N is nearly identical to the original pan that was on your 327, complete with correct windage tray, correct corner reinforcements, and correct dimple locations on the side of the pan. If you are going for an original look, then you will want to purchase the correct reproduction. Many of the Corvette parts vendors now carry this pan.
