Paint code for black 73's

I would like to find out if a paint code WH 848 used in the 1973 model year for any GM cars at St Louis. I have a tank sticker that reads (paint solid color appl using WH 848 Black std color wheels). My search on the paint website failed to find this code. I would like some proof this code is black to add to my file.

Try WA848. DuPont paint codes typically start with WA or in latter days, U. I believe it's bad handwriting with the A open at the top.

I spent four hours Saturday working on a well documented, black '73 with 10,000 miles. The tank sticker clearly shows 848 and says "paint black using 848 black with standard color wheels".
