Currently my SWC is set up with quick steering. I aligned it up a couple of years ago when I rebuild the front end. Would I need to realign the front end if I wanted to use the standard setting?

I like your style. Quick (2 minutes), short, and to the point. Thanks.Dick- Top

Re: C2--Change from "quick" to standard steering"
I believe you will, but only the toe-in; - the front and rear holes in the steering arm are not equidistant from the car's centerline; when you change your tie rod ends from one pair of holes to the other pair, it will change the toe-in.- Top

Re: C2--Change from "quick" to standard steering"
No effect on caster and camber, but when you change tie rod locations, it DEFINITE effects the toe-in, which MUST be checked and reset anytime you switch from the fast to standard overall ratio or vice versa.

Yes, that's correct - the factory placed the tie rod ends in the "fast" (closest to the spindle) set of tie rod holes in the steering arms, and installed an aluminum rivet in the "standard" holes so the owner couldn't move the tie rod ends back to that position. If you put the tie rod ends on a power steering car in the "standard" holes, it can allow the power cylinder to over-travel and damage the rod seals.- Top

Don't try it , if you have power steering
You will be all over the road at high speed. Guess how I know!
The forward lug on the spindle is for power steering, the rear lug is for manual. If you have manual steering and are on the forward lug, you will have already pulled your shoulder in parking the sucker.

LICS has the aluminum rivets (their #49-58); shown in your Assembly Manual in section N40, Sheet A3, item #9. Install them with the head down (not with the head up as shown in the illustration) and the peened end up; the frame was upside-down when they were installed.- Top
