I have a problem with the closed crankcase ventilation system on my 63 fuelie. When I run it at high speeds (80-100), oil was being sucked up through the rear breather vent through the PCV into the FI doghouse. After enough oil builds up in the doghouse and it sucks it down into the cylinders and then it coughs a cloud of blue smoke under full power and RPMs reach approx 4000. I thought the oil baffle under the intake manifold was bad. I removed the FI unit and replaced the baffle-can. Did not cure the problem. I then plugged the hose between the PCV and the rear vent pipe on the rear of the engine. It stopped the oil from getting into the doghouse. Today when I returned home after running at about 85 to 90 MPH for about two miles, oil was dripping from where the top clamps onto the FI air filter. The oil is now being pushed through the hose that connect the oil filler tube to the air cleaner adapter. The car idles correctly, runs great, has the correct oil pan & filter and the oil levels are correct. Has anyone seen this and what is the cure? Any suggestions?
