    1961 horn ground

I cannot get a proper ground to the drivers horn in the correct location. Is it possible to ground to the radiator support without any adverse consequences. Gary

    Re: 1961 horn ground

Two of the 'typical' reasons for faulty grounding are:

    (1) Having chassis and/or core support components powder coated (thick/heavy compared to factory orignal paper-thin paint) and NOT properly masking bolt hole interconnnect location to preserve bare metal.

    (2) Incorrect mount of horn(s) with improper assy sequence of mounting bolt, horn ground wire ring and washer and/or the washer being worn, not sharp enough/thick enough to bite through the paint on the horn bracket to get a solid electrical contact.
