How does one loosen the bolts that secure the arm attached to the body bracket which allows an adjustment of the horizontal bars of the convertible top frame? There appears to be a hole in the "nut" holding the bolt in place. An allen wrench does not seem to work. Thanks. Richard

Re: C1 Convertible Top Frame
Hi! Richard
I am just installing a new top on my 61, and I will attach a photo of what I believe you are questing.
The Allen set screw is above the frame by about 1/8" and is used to prevent the screw from backing out. The screw has a smooth shoulder toward the head and threads on the end. The un-threaded area provides a smooth surface for the top to pivot on and will stop to provide clearance. There is a plastic washer that goes between the frames and a spring washer between the screw and the frame.

Re: C1 Convertible Top Frame
Ray, Thanks for your response. That is not the bolt in question. The the bolt I am referring to is the one that secures the rod to the body bracket and can be manipulated to adjust the rod that is secured by the bolt you have identified. Richard- Top

Re: C1 Convertible Top Frame
I have been informed by a restoration specialist that the bolt in question is not removable. It is secured by some form of rivet. The adjustment of this component occurs at the body bracket.- Top
