Matte means a low gloss, sometimes textured finish...it is not a paint product you can buy. Semi-flat would probably be the closest gloss level available in spray cans.

To get the best answer to your question, give the model year Corvette, the part description, and ask the appropriate finish. Someone will know the answer and can probably suggest a product. Unless, of course, this is for your patio furniture.

I bought something called a matting agent from my local paint store. I used it to "flatten" the black paint for my frame. Is that what you are looking for? I can get a brand and part number if you like.
