looking for some heater core advice please

I was wondering if I should replace my heater core...

I had it recored about 15 years ago and now it's sitting on the bench as I rebuild the heater box. The core looks fine but I'm not sure if I should clean, flush and pressure check, recore or just put it back in the way it is. I'd hate to have to take it out in a year or two for a leak but then again I don't want to spend the money on if I don't have to...just bought one of those dang ebay PF-25's!

Oh and for those that may not know, it's a 69 without A/C.

    Thanks,

    Greg Linton

Greg you have it out. Recoring it now is very easy and the expense is relatively low. Go for it

        Yeah...But, Then What If...?

Here's the devil's advocate for your other ear: What if your present 1969 quality constructed heater core has survived the test of time only to be recored by the new-hire apprentice down at the radiator shop, and the boss who's busy on bigger projects, missed the quality check? Ah, the smell of new repo carpet soaking in antifreeze...

          Thanks Chuck....

My 1969 quality constructed heater core did blow up a long time ago and did soak my new repo carpet as a matter of fact so I know what that is all about... Trust me, I will pressure check it myself anyways after I get it back so there

            Chuck-----

Any 1969 "quality heater core" that remains in service, assuming that ANY remain in service, is living on borrowed time regardless of how well built it may have been to begin with.

All those grin emoticons means it was tongue-in-cheek...Greg was so satisfied with Dickie's answer, I thought I would see if I could introduce a little doubt in his mind. Only temporarily, of course.
