C2 attendance at local show

Thought this might be of interest to those keeping score at home.

At a local hot rod show yesterday in eastern PA, out of a mix of 500+ cars (street rods, antiques, oldies, etc.) there were 5 C2's.

1 '63 SWC, 1 '65 coupe, 1 '66 coupe, 1 conv., and 1 '67 conv. (me).

To borrow a line from Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson"...'where have you gone Miss C2's?...'

Our local show had apx. 100 cars. (1) 66 Coupe My 67 Coupe and a 60 and 62 straight axle. Kept hearing "We never see these cars on the road" Take 'em out, people love to see em. We even got caught in a small rain shower. Hell, What's better than that.

Do a NCRS Road Tour. You'll have a great time. These cars were meant to be driven and enjoyed.

This has been happening for a couple years now. I was at the DVCC Cavalcade of Corvettes in PA last month and it was like walking through a corvette dealer's lot. There were tons of C5's and C6's but only about a combined total of 10 C1's and C2's.

I know here in Florida most people are afraid to drive a nice vette. The illegal aliens do not have to obtain car insurance, so if they hit you all they all they have to do is get out and run.And if you are unfortunate enough to have one of them hurt your tax dollars are going to pay his hospital bill. If they don't get the taxpayer they will get your insurance co, a no fault state you know.it maybe the same in the rest of the country I don't know.

Went to a show in Renton, Wash. last weekend. Of about 300 cars, there was: 1 - 57 (dual carb) 1 - 58, 1 - 60, 1 - 61, 1 - 62 (360 FI), 1 - 65, 1 - 67 (BB Coupe), 1 - 68 (BB Coupe, my car) 1 - 71, 2 - 78's, and 1 - 82. ALL of the C-1's were in excellent, restored condition. The 61 & 62 were parked tail end to tail end and were both white with red interiors. The C2's were in very good condition. With the exception of the '71, all the C3's were in very good condition. There will be an all Corvette meet at the Triple X drive in located in Issaquah in August. I hope to see more C1, C2, and C3's there.
