For your entertainment and my enlightenment, please check out item #354973350 on eBay. It is described by the seller as a "new old stock" 1964 Corvette FI instrument cluster that was "acquired in the early seventies" and was possibly used for display at a dealership.
It is certainly pretty in the photos, but I'm struggling with the concept of an entire cluster being "new old stock". Can some vintage member tell me how this could have come into existence? After seeing that old GM cutaway '65 coupe display car from South Africa at Orlando this year, I no longer say anything is impossible.
