The left front wheel makes noise after driving. I have adjusted the bearing a couple of times. Upon disassembly, I noticed that some of the ball bearings will go right through the newly elongated holes of the cage. Obviously, it is time to replace the bearings. Has anyone used the Corvette Central upgraded wheel bearing kit instead of the original ball bearing style? The price seems reasonable, and it is my understanding that it should improve handling slightly. Thanks in advance.
I doubt that you will notice any difference if you switch to tapered bearings, I didn't in my 62. Properly installed (ST-12) original style bearings should last you a lifetime unless you drive the car everyday like we did in the beginning.

I agree with Terry, you'll not notice a difference. The newer bearings are easier to find. Your local parts store should have or be able to get overnight.
